Two decades, hundreds of clients and thousands of one on one hours later, I still love what I see as my life’s work: Listening to people’s stories to help them gain peace, perspective, and empowerment to improve their ability to live a fulfilled life.
I have over 20 years of counseling experience in clinical and private practice settings. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege to work with many talented professionals in several premier organizations in the area including Crown of Texas Hospice, Sky Camp, Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, Amarillo Family Institute and The Hideaway Experience. In these collaborative relationships I have been honored to serve the community in counseling relationships, theory and program development, as well as expanding my own professional, personal and spiritual growth.

When I am not in the office my favorite place to be is home. I enjoy the rhythm of day to day life. Hot coffee in my hand in the mornings and a tea cup in my hand at night, you are likely to find me there reading all sorts of interesting things, with my sweet dog curled at my feet.
I am a lifelong native of the area and a descendent of early Panhandle settlers. I deeply understand the nature and values of the people from the High Plains. Our family and faith traditions, strong work ethic and resilient spirits are imprinted on my life. I have been married over 30 years and have raised my family here. This is the place I call home.
